for full-time work. Support manufacturing and process effectiveness by developing cell layouts,
machine set up and maintenance specs. BS Engineering / Technology, 3-5 years as manufacturing
engineer and CAD experience is necessary. Sheet metal fabrication or metal stamping experience
is preferred. Familiarity with PLC's, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical theory and lean
manufacturing a plus.
Job Title: Design Engineer
West Hartford, CT manufacturing company seeks a full-time Design Engineer for new products.
Design and develop new products for the electrical industry.
Creatively develop new product concepts and bring them to market
while incorporating lean manufacturing principles into product
designs and support existing product lines. Contribute in a
cross-functional project team including marketing, engineering,
and manufacturing. Create engineering documents including product
requirements, material specifications, engineering drawings,
and regulatory agency correspondence. Perform engineering
analysis which may include hand calculations, finite element
analysis, mold-flow analysis and FMEA. Conduct in-house product
testing to ensure compliance to the product specification and
Underwriters Laboratories (UL) requirements and must be able
to work effectively with regulatory agencies such as UL. BS in
Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 5 years related technical experience required.
